About Liam Melly:
From the best nightspots his hometown has to offer, to the secret locations around the Derry area, Liam Melly has attracted attention since 2000 when audiences realised he had a talent for populating dance floors wherever he played. Through years of creating, practicing, and total dedication, he has developed the art of using the turntables as though it were a new musical instrument and at the same time inventing new styles.

Born in Derry, Liam Melly’s love for music came at an early age. His spinning career got into gear at the age of 16. Not only did Liam use that time to establish different genres of music within his djing career, he also succeeded in the promotion industry co-launching Submerge with Dermy O Donnell running club nights within Derry and in 2008 he is still running his own club night, now called HomeGrown along side fellow DJ Darryn Mc Callion.

With a busy D.J. schedule Liam Melly’s accomplishments have permitted him to play in some of the most prestigious venues in the northwest and across seas on the island best known for it’s nightlife and clubbing; Ibiza. Other clubs such as The Nerve Centre, Earth, Jackie Mullans, Fusion, the Strand Bar, The Gweedore, the Coach, and Lush! @ Kelly's have all had a taster of what Liam Melly has to offer.
Liam also rocked the set at Planet Love ‘06 and ‘07 @ Shanes Castle, Antrim, playing to the thousands that were there. And had the pleasure of banging out Bryan Kearney’s edit of his track “Arrival†for the first time in September ‘06, with the crowd instantly hooked on him as an upcoming DJ. Super star DJ Eddie Halliwell played it out at Planet love in the Goodgreef tent where thousands went mad. Eddie Halliwell also played “Arrival†in Amnesia, one of the biggest and best-known clubs in Ibiza in ‘06 whilst Kearney and Liam were present. The atmosphere was unreal.

In addition, Liam has played in the Gatecrasher Classic Tour next to some of the biggest and best DJs/ producers in the world such as: Paul Van Dyk, Eddie Halliwell, Judge Jules, John Askew, Marcel Woods, Cosmic Gate, Above & Beyond, DJ Montana, Guy Ornadel, Les Hemstock, Scot Bond, John Ceccini, Scott Project, Mark Sherry, Riley & Durrant plus well known local Djs Chris Davis, Glen Molly, Col Hamilton, X-ray and not forgetting the Dublin boys: John O'Callaghan, Bryan Kearney, Neal Scraborough and Paul Webster.

In June Liam had ten mad days in Ibiza were he played in some of the hottest clubs the island has to offer including Cream Amnesia; where the likes of Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, Oakenfold and Marco V have all played. Liam warmed up for superstar DJs Eddie Halliwell and Paul Van Dyk on the Thursday he landed. On the Saturday Liam played a mad boat party in the middle of the ocean for well-known club brand Ibiza Heat, entertaining and pleasing the crowd with his mixing. Then the Tuesday night saw Liam play in Eden alongside more famous DJs, with the likes of John O’Callaghan and Dave Pearce.
