The Producer and MC Esperado started writing his own lyrics around 2001 – in English! He discovered HipHop through Skating and a radioshow on NDR4 hosted by the true head Marius No.1. Catching the latest tunes and creating his own Mixtapes he recorded all the radioshows and cut them together via Rec and Pause on his Taperecorder. He didn't know that this method was common practice way back in the days HipHoppers provided themselves with new stuff.
Also trying the other elements of HipHop-Culture more or less succesful – he kept up in making beats and mceeing. Nowaydays he is – together with his cousin Martys – performing in German.
About 2003 Martys and Esperado founded the „zentrix-crew". First releases on diverse samplers came up and finally on 2006 they released their own album „Graustufen" - „Grey Scales"(thanks to B-Base and Albino). As head of the crew he is responsible for most of the beats and lyrics on this album.
Characteristically, Esperados beats were foremost flavoured with classic samples, which give an obscure and meditative atmosphere. Far away from current Gangsta- and Porno-attitudes Esperado defines Rap in his individual way. For him – HipHop is an attitude of life and describes the freedom he misses nowadays in society and this is what tries to criticizes in his lyrics.
By and by Esperado connected with other soulmates. Ms AT4 is one of them. Producing for her and mceeing they both set their own landmark on the underground map of HipHop-Culture for more than a year.
Another soulmate is the incredible producer DJ Soulclap whom he met on the 'Ãœberlebenstraining-Revival-Tour'. Clap and Esperado complement each other quite well. While working on his own album Esperado gets support from Soulclap in form of his amazing production style. Vice versa Esperado supporting him as Recording and Mixing Engineer for the upcoming Soul Occs-Album called Soul Brothers. You better keep prepared for that shit, cause Clap and Tony are a perfect team working on this whole thing!
