I am here for Dating, Serious Relationships, Friends and Networking

About Me

Too much "about me" seems rather trite at the get-go. or not? Because, is not the point of doing this, about, trying to find another ME, or, a more rounded, partially flattened - and at times, overly malfunctioning I. HMMM, I mean, why the hell would I be writing this if I were not hoping to contort a part of me into some newer me - self - or I.(lowercase or uppercase lets not sink into total grammatical or syntactic pedantry)..... Humm, (clearing throat), so back to this About Me business. I'm blah blah blah, and Oh Blah, and I believe the most important thing in the world is Passion; therefore, life without passion is a wasted and cruel life. So, I am a passionate person about a plethora of things/activities. I love to laugh at myself, as well as life. I'm a bit of a hedonist, and that is THAT...

My Interests

Reading, Writing, Music, playing guitar, piano, and whistling, I love anything creative - However, I tire of the, we have to be self-pitying abject garbage - horror and deceit are the easiest things to find amongst humanity. Show me a little beauty and I will respect you. I'll go to the Ninth Bolgia of Dante's Inferno with you, but grip a little hope at the end. I love to eat food from around the globe. I love language, semiotics, pragmatics, Derrida and Wittgenstein. Also,I love to make people laugh - the sound of laughter is intoxicating....I love to cook for people. Watching someone enjoy the passion and love you served them, is, exhilarating...as long as the passing of gas happens after we leave the table...There are limits to one's thanks.

I'd like to meet:

Someone with a deep sense of honor and hospitality towards others. Please, no self-aggrandizing, solipsistic, bitter (chip on the shoulder) egoists. Someone with passion and a sense of wonder. Also, someone that can think without saying, "Outside the box".. Corporate metaphorical BS...!!!Also, I do not have any desire to part of some bimbo's friend's list...Strippers make me want to vomit - while, I can say "I respect what you do, and that is your choice." I just think of Sand, Wollstonecraft, Chopin, Eliot, Nightingale, Sexton and dear old Virginia Woolf, and wonder, how many times can they turn in their graves before they vomit along with me.

Music:

Tom Waits,Elliot Smith, Jolie Holland, Andrew Bird, Gillian Welch, Wilco, RadioHead, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Paris Combo,REM, Charles Mingus, Charlie Parker, Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, and all others that echo out in a mellifluous manner.

Movies:

here is somewhat of a top 12: Cinema Paradiso, Life is Beautiful, City of God, Down by Law, Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind, Pan's Labyrinth, Ikiru, Little Children, Late Spring,An Angel At My Table, 2046, and In the Mood For Love.....There really are too too too many to list...

Television:

The undulation of our ethos. Truly a crutch for the masses to whimper upon their own defeat. Could be a powerful tool, however tis nothingness in nothingness adorned.

Books:

Dostoevsky, Woolf, Murakami, Pamuk, Saramago, Neruda, Calvino, Borges, Baldwin, Ellison, McCullers, Akhmatova, Pessoa, Eliot, Sand, Chopin, Vallejo, Montale, Pavese, Joyce - and the rest of a bibliophiles wondrous collection of letters strewn in the rooms of expression

Heroes:

I do-not believe in heroes. I like influences and those that one can admire. like, Virginia Woolf and Federico Garcia Lorca, like, John Coltrane and Frida Kahlo or a love unknown or hidden...
