Talented. Determined. Versatile. These powerful words have become the defining characteristics of Philadelphia songwriter/producer Dana Batchelor. She has crafted a catalog of songs, encompassing everything from Hip Hop and R&B to Rock. Her writing is so articulate, that a friend gave her the nickname “Milagroâ€, which means “Miracle†in English.
Throughout her adolescence she developed an ear for melody and realized her work needed a voice. She decided to take the initiative and sing her own material. Fellow writers and artists took notice and convinced her to work on collaborations. This led to her joining a group. They established a solid and powerful reputation and were promptly signed to Warner Brothers Records. Creative differences eventually forced the group to disband, but Dana’s experience gave her a new perspective. She was determined to succeed no matter what. Over the next few years she learned the aspects of music production, and this gave her the capability of molding her songs into a total package. Dana has since authored hundreds of songs and worked with numerous artists. She became a member of NARAS (National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences) and worked for various companies including: WDRE – FM, WPHI-FM, Sony Music, Universal Music Group, BMG and Warner Bros. In 2004 she founded Batchelor Pad Music. Via her company, she works in the areas of songwriting and production. While shopping for a publishing contract, Dana continues to write songs and compose music that deeply engages the listener.
