I was born in Leicester, England, and began my musical journey in a garden shed on a drum kit I bought with my pocket money. Inspired by my favourite bands to become the ultimate rock star I started learning some of my favourite songs by my heroes and sure enough formed bands with friends who shared the same burning ambition to 'show off' infront of strangers despite how crap we were!
Although none of these bands reached international stardom, I still have a hunger to perform and an ever growing desire to make music. By the age of 17, a well timed council ban for noise pollution meant I could try other instruments buying my first acoustic axe, or 'Mavis', as I like to call her from the local Argos. This helped me to join bands playing both bass and guitar and enjoy the live circuit even more.
At age 19 I moved to Guildford to study Contemporary Popular Music and this culminated me recording my first solo album for my dissertation. I was asble to write, perform, record, produce, master, manufacture and distribute my own CD, which was a real challenge, but a great experience.
Once back in sunny Leicester, I began teaching young aspiring drummers and rock bands in my area for a year. I then worked as a professional drummer for a short period of time in a show band, working on a cruise ship in the mediterranean and a 5 star hotel in Abu Dhabi. Having returned to Leicester this Spring, I am continuing to write and record with various bands and friends, and hope to conitue working within the music world.
