About Me

Otis Jefferson a.k.a. Youngin' always had a passion for music. Born in Augusta, Ga to a stable military family he lived the life of your average army brat. After bouncing from Germany to North Carolina to Florida his family finally settled down in Georgia when he was 11 years old. After being hevily influenced by hip hop legends such as 2pac, Outkast, Nas, Dr. Dre and Snoop his skills finally surfaced. At the age of 13 he was already outshining his peers with his clearly more thought out lyrics. By the time he was 15, word had started to spread around his school and neighborhood about the short, light-skinned kid with the long hair, but by this time he had already formed a group called "Controversy". After a short stint with his group, his buzz continued to grow, which led him to create his first solo cd named "the Controversy Project". The album was a big hit in his area, considering there were only a few copies made, yet people all over were talking about it.
"People were always shocked to find out my age and to see my stature; The depth of my lyrics, my style and my tongue twisting skills blew them away" At the same time that he showcased his solo skills, he also introduced his production talents. Although they were made on outdated equipment, Youngin's tracks were creative and showed his potential to be a great producer. After catching the ear of locally known producer and artist "Tantrum", the two decided to collab and drop a mixtape. Reviving the name of Youngin's former group Controversy, the project was a smash underground hit, which just solidified their connection.
After Tantrum established Somethin' Serious Entertainment in 2004, Youngin' was the first artist to be signed. Now back and better than ever Youngin' is ready to take over the game officially, with his debut album entitled "No Limits". His hit single "Keep it moving" is already bangin' in clubs everywhere and will soon (if not currently) be blazing the charts and radios. "My Goal in doing this music is to bring it back to the real and drop a little enlightenment and substance back into the industry."
