My name is Phil Jay I'm 28 and from Belfast N.Ireland.
I've been djing for around 10 years playing soulful/classic/funky/tough house. In 2001 with a residency spot in the students union at University of Ulster in Coleraine I played warm up sets for Col Hamilton, Lisa Pin Up and Johan Gielen. From then I moved to a bar in Ballynahinch in Northern Ireland called McNulty's putting on funky house nights in summer 2004.
Over the last 3 years I've been playing at Thompsons in Belfast at a night called Hustle, a night set aside for new talent in Northern Ireland which has proved a big success.
I recently got some production equipment in Oct 2005 trying to add an extra dimension to my sets, & for sending out demos to local radio stations/labels etc.
I've recently won two remix competitions run by DMC, remixing Full Intentions "I Love America" and Switchshift - "Good In Your Soul".

Lastly I would like to thank lowered recordings for letting me use my remix here of Fresh 27 - "Point of View" for this site. Cheers Guys
