I am schnook, really. I've been playing guitar & bass since I was 15 - once or twice I've actually been pretty good at them - but "winding down" now, since I take most of my hours to help raise our son.For about 15 years I played "Rick Nielsen" in The Dream Police, a Chicago-based Cheap Trick tribute band, that I am very proud of. We never really got the attention I thought we should have, but I don't think there has been a finer tribute band to my favorite Rockford Four. At least in the "male" catagory. Band was laid to rest in July '05I still play and now it's bass in an AC/DC Tribute band called "Downpour". And on occasion I record at home and with a good friend at his studio (Secret Sound Studios, plug, plug!)Thanks to working at Gibson Guitars for 14 years (been gone a few years now), I got to meet so many famous and should-have-been-famous musicians that I lost count.From Ringo to Tony Iommi to Chet Atkins to Joe Pass to Jan Akkerman to BB King - every one I met made me glad I play.
