SOLAR SIDES BIOGRAPHY
Solar Sides is a band born in 1996 formed by Esteban Lucci and Tomi del Castillo, two djs / producers passionate by fusion between acoustic and electronics elements.
In 1998, after having worked on various house maxi singles, Solar Sides took up the challenge releasing the first album called "Electrolyse" This album was called at the time by the medias, "The Brand New Soul of the 21st Century","Electrolyse" was the result of a fusion between the famous legendaries Jazz standards like "Round Midnight" or "Night In Tunisia" and House Beats & Sounds construction.
As from this date, Solar Sides began to do some tour concerts playing in festival like Montreux Jazz Festival, Montreal Jazz Festival or the Boubou's St Barth Festival in the West Indies Caribbean.
In 2000, Solar Sides released the House Garage single "Suite 56" in collaboration with the New Yorker Diva Dawn Tallman. The single was also released in many different compilations such the Hed Kandi series in UK or the Private Lounge collection from France.Get your myspace layouts at My Psace.org
In 2003, Solar Sides released their second album called Ritmo Alegre, a project fusion between Electro House and Latin flavors with the participation of the Cuban singers, Rodrigo Rodriguez and Armando Miranda.
During this summer, the single "Baila Tumbao" was remixed by the famous Dj Pippi from Ibiza, The song began a classic of the Latin House charts.
After working also as a Tracklister of compilations under the name "Solar Sides Selections" ( Nu Flamenco Sound, Immaculate Ibiza or Agent du Monde collection "Barcelona Files", Esteban Lucci and Tomi del Castillo started in 2004 their own record label called "Immaculate Ibiza Records".
During this year, Immaculate Ibiza Records presented from the very heart of the island "Ibiza House Floor", Solar Sides latest work and undoubtedly the sound track of the warmest 2006 summer nights. With its brilliantly produced, refreshing sound, Solar Sides' "Ibiza House Floor" is exactly what the best djs of the island want to offer to the aficionados of the world's number one House Parties.
We had the chance to collaborate with different talented artists such Dj Pippi, Cesar de Melero, Dj Susso, Igor Marijuan, Ernesto Altes, Dawn Tallman, Danna Leese, Luis Badenes, work as as remixer for people like : Urban Species, The Clash, Dina Caroll, Charlotte Rampling, Los Caños or Presuntos Implicados.
Now focused on development and creation of exclusive and original CD-packaging design. Actually we are presenting the luxurious and exclusive ¨Plexicase Collection¨ of 5 originals double CD pack in an special VinylCD.
