About Me

WONDERFUL NEWS!!
Uvenburd is now Available at any HMV store across Canada! The album, "Floodwatching: Live at the Pepper Jack Café" costs just $14.99 in stores.
As of August 3rd, you will also be able to buy a digital copy of the album on iTunes for just $9.98 or any individual song on the album for $0.98. Tell your friends to check it out!! We are currently remastering and fixing up out first album, Cellar Door and that should be on iTunes by the end of the summer.

Ahh, Uvenburd. Joe Girard and Ben Caplan met in high school where their first collaboration was theatrical. These theatrics, once an important part of daily nutrition for both Ben and Joe, have found their way into the music and live show of Uvenburd.
Formed in 2004, the Uvenburd duo quickly wrote a basket of songs and built a repertoire of over 30 original pieces, releasing a little demo called Cellar Door, showcasing fifteen tunes.
The band was put on a hiatus quickly after it was formed so that Ben could travel to Bolivia. He returned, and by 2006 Uvenburd's repertoire had expanded to include a whole albums worth of new material - now being written by more musically mature musicians.
But with Ben in Halifax and Joe in Hamilton, getting music played live has been difficult, and both men have worked hard at spreading the word of the burd. Expect more from these dynamic men as their numbers increase, and their sound expands, like the burd inside the uven.
