scrapbooking, photography, playing with my 2 dogs and 2 cats, listening to or making music, and cooking/baking. (But realistically, the only one of those things I ever take the time to do is playing with the animals... however, I can hope to do the other things someday!)

I have eclectic tastes, though I'm pretty partial to listening to 90's music... and my favorite singer at the moment is James Morrison. He's FANTASTIC! :) :) :) I also like Alyson Krause, John Mayer, Michael Buble, Tony Bennett, Stevie Wonder, Jonathan Clay, The Fray, James Taylor, Ray Charles, Tony Bennett, Norah Jones, Andrea Bocelli, Ella Fitzgerald, and one of my favorite composers of all time is actually Vaughn Williams. One of my new favorite radio stations on satellite radio is the OLD SKOO HIP HOP STATION! haha... love it!
Mr. Deeds Goes to Town (the old version)- if you haven't seen it, it's worth it!!!!! IT'S FANTASTIC! A couple of my other favorites are 'How to Lose a Guy in 10 days', 'Love Actually', 'The Holiday', and ummmm... herbie. the original.
The Big Bang Theory, Men in Trees, CSI, Lipstick Jungle, and two BBC America shows: Coupling (really funny but all the characters ever talk about is sex and dating) and My Family. I like American Idol, The Biggest Loser, and Last Comic Standing when they're on too... Good thing I can fast forward through commercials!
'Coming Home' and 'The Shell Seekers' by Rosamunde Pilcher (though everything of hers is great!). She sets her books mostly in the english countryside, and has a wonderful writing style. I also love 'Two Weeks with my Brother' by Nicholas Sparks. A really powerful book that has helped me in my teaching is 'A Framework for Understanding Poverty.'
... besides all of the people who have helped me along the way family and friend-wise, I'm really grateful to the people who have taught me things... including my kids. I have some fantastic colleagues too, who really inspire me to go the distance, no matter what.
