About Me
CJam Productions has been unofficially polluting the audio waves since about 1984 when Chris wrote and recorded his first rhyme on to cassette. The copy of that orginal recording was later abducted by a high school girlfriend. She claims to still have it “somewhere.†But only she can tell us if that precious piece of recording history will ever surface again. In the 80’s he freestyled with Brookside Middle School artists Sebastion Hardy and Willie Sutton aka “chill will†while studying from the early greats, Nucleus, Run DMC, LL, Slick Rick, KRS, …way too many to name. In the late 80’s early 90’s CJams settled on the name “One 2 Many Productions†and worked with one of his favorite MC’s of all time, Jamie Jamison aka “Hi may.†In the early 90’s One 2 Many later added a few diverse voices to the line up to consist of James Camidge aka “Mass Confusion†from Boston and Fernando Lopez from the L.E.S. (Lower east side of Manhatten). One 2 Many displayed their skillz mostly recording in the USMC barracks in Jacksonville N.C. and performing at the enlisted club during open mic nights and open mic contests. In the late 90’s CJams moved to Tampa, FL and started to mix old school b-boy lyrics with a rock sound and created the band “Bolder Village†and worked under the title Bolder Village Productions. During the Bolder Village period CJams was fortunate to work and learn from artists Steve Luecke (Guitarist), Ray Snelwar, (Guitarists), Danny Garrido (Drums), Micro (Bass), Mattbo (Drums). After the diffusion of the band Bolder Village, CJams opted on the name CJams Productions during the move from Tampa to Sarasota, FL. In Sarasota CJams spent many hours in the studio with ReRemix Master Jeff Klosterman aka J-Klaw from “Cloud 10â€. Together they created a few heavy electronica/hip hop tracks to include, Metronome Dome and Feel the Wrath. While in Sarasota, CJams also worked on donated tracks from Ben Kunkle, aka Uncle Kunkle from the Sarasota band “Dragonfly Rippleâ€. Together they created “Feeding the Lines,†Stream of Dreams,†and “Immediate Danger.†After a while back in Sarasota, CJams packed up and headed to the Pacific North West to rejuvenate his creative soul. During an evening with family and friends jamming out Cjams discovered a unique sound and asked to record the next jam session for the Chamorro influenced island reggae band, “One Kyne.†After working with the band for a few weeks they compiled a small demo album used to promote themselves for live shows. CJams recently completed work on Zach Lujan’s solo project titled “Spiritual Rollercoaster†On Spiritual Rollercoaster you can hear tracks that include special guest artists Zach Taimanglo (Bongo’s), J.P. Eustaquio (Slack Key) and various others. It might be time for a remastering of One Kyne roots music. YOU KNOW SOMEONE WHOS GOT TALENT AND NEEDS TO GET IN THE STUDIO? LET ME KNOW! Fo Rill!
