Most people are blissfully and ignorantly unaware of the world around them; mindlessly consuming; blindly drudging toward ultimately meaningless goals. There is a deficit of awareness in our society...
I resent this lack of awareness. I'll admit that I live in a capitalist society and buy myself nice things, but I am at least aware that I live in an unsustainable illusion that will collapse in on itself within a few decades.
So, basically, I'm a bit wary of most people. I'll read your profile and/or listen to your music but that doesn't guarantee that I'll want to be 'friends'.
