About Me
Starting in 2006, a small team of organisers has got together to produce what you see from us every weekend, whether it was recruiting artists from local areas and also we're always looking to be on point, acting like professionals, jus to be professional.
Throughout all this we've had some very entertaining shows, reaching out and grabbing artists just to give them a little recognition, which will motivate, encourage, and keep them focused. This happens as soon as they realize that we do acknowledge all the artists representing the UK, and that we are offering a little more help in this confusing industry.
At this point I will be updating the showcase section every fortnight. So make sure you stay posted for I surely believe in this station like anyone else from our family.
We have a new member within the organisation, and he goes by the name of SoulBruva. You may have seen him on his regular shows in studio 2, Thursdays 6pm-8pm, and with his new video release; “4 real 4 real†which you can catch and vote for on Channel U (text 423 to 81700).
For a year now, the UKShowcase has been our flagship and prime time show on UKFlow where we have brung you quality urban talent from family and friends around us. UKShowcase streams every fortnight on UKFlow.tv, and we have provided a platform for our artists to perform to our music fans worldwide and now we're already getting views from over 40 countries.
All shows will be recorded for future playback in our archive section and artists will receive valuable feedback from the audience in the UKShowcase & YouTube page.. These artists perform original tracks that they have written or produced and within the organisation we show love & support to everyone.
Our network is large and we hope to uncover some real quality for you and help them in their future development. Your feedback will be valuable to help these new artists develop and prove to the industry what the real audience thinks about each act.
UKFlow crew Clipper & Tower & SoulBruva will be presenting the shows as well as performing or DJing on UKShowcase radio Shows and at UKShowcase live events. Also look out for the JKP special at the end of each month to see the showwcase artists and even their own music.
We have done a few major showcase events in central London's Bar Rumba recently and both were a sucess. We had artists such as Aggro, Twissman, Tower & Gina Marie, Duane Flames Young Kof. A-Tola and the list goes on & on. We also had the likes of 1xtra's Mistajam hosting the show along side Clipper and both kept the vibe sweet enough for our performers. Thank you to all that turned up for our events and continue to show love for our music and the artists who are involved, we all set the standards...trus.
Each artist, singer, MC or crew must have at least three original tracks to qualify, and will perform them live on UKFlow, direct to the world of web music fans.
Atists will also have a recording of both video and audio from their UKShowcase P.A. uploaded onto their profile page and the UKS YouTube page.
Jedi Knight Productions, established 2004 by Yogi Wan and Mutley have been striving to elevate UK Hip Hop & R'n'B. With Yogi Wan behind the production and Mutley heading up marketing and PR, the picture began to be painted. Seeing the vision, 2005 saw the addition of Killer D, another up and coming producer along with Big K and C. Lex joining Mutley in marketing and PR. We are on a quest to uplift and enlighten, to give you something a little different from the norm. Whoever thought making music was being able to grab a mic, jump on a beat and spit a load of nonsense, was sadly mistaken. Don't get it twisted, I'm not hating, just telling you how we feel. We see a lot of tallent in the UK, (London particularly cos this is where we rep), but no direction, no presence and no vision, you know all the folks we are talking about... If you don't, you are probably on of them. So we are here to set the record straight, to form an alliance with others who are making a mark on the UK scene and continue to break down barriers that still persist in standing in the way of those who show great courage, personality, talent and those who are not afraid to be themselves.
JKP host their showcase on UKFlow.tv everyfortnight, showcasing their artists, music along with any other artists willing to perform.
You can get in touch with JKP on their myspace page at www.myspace.com/jkpproductions, and with just a few more tweeks to go, their forthcoming website @ www.jkpmedia.com
