Christopher ("Cryzstyl") Tyson was born in Chicago, IL. to a very musically charged family. Growing up around musicians, Chris quickly picked up musical structure, teaching himself to play countless instruments as well as DJ skills. In his middle school years he started performing at talent shows, while leaning how to write songs, and compose music, Inspired by his brothers, and infuenced by artists such as Prince, Parliament Funkadelic, Jodeci.,Cryzstyl began recording music and experimenting with engineering duties. By highschool, Chris found himself in countless band projects, as well as school marching, jazz and classical bands. He recorded his first demo, while on the side performing covers at local clubs. By graduation Chris had a scholorship to Kentucky University, but in the pusuit of his dream, moved to Michigan with long time "partner in crime" DJ 100 Proof. He joined forces with many of Lansing, and Flint, MI. dominant acts, but did not reach prominence until 2001 when he re-invented his style with a more "aggressive" edge. He, and DJ 100 Proof hooked up with John "J-Skee Tha SKS" Fry to form: Life On Tha Line Entertainment. Now currently finishing work on his debut album, Chris is ready to unleash "The Promise" on the world. A superstar is born. His Name? Cryzstyl.
