From humble beginnings Ken’s career has progressed steadily from bedroom DJ and the occasional warm-up slot to residencies and guest spots throughout the UK including the legendary venue ‘THE ARCHES’ in Glasgow. His versatility scores him highly with clubbers as he knocks out sets comprising of chunky, throbbing electro house with a techno edge, producing some powerful original music and inventive mixing. Ken can also be found playing house, some progressive house, the odd bit of breaks and even a bit of harder stuff when the mood takes him.Ken provides the essential musical foundation and many clubs have welcomed the benefits of his exceptional technical talents his ability to read a crowd, build a groove and make a night as by reported by Jamie McDowell from the Music Section in Sunday World:‘Ken Ferguson played and impressive set which earned him a huge accolade from the crowd at a recent Movida Corona Event at the Skye nightclub in Belfast.’Judith Farrell from the award winning Plant Love Music Promotions had this to say:‘Ken is a versatile and enigmatic DJ who quickly forms a special connection with his crowd then gives them exactly what they want. He has an obvious passion for music of all kinds and this translates into an energetic and at times genre-bending performance which further ignites his audience. The end result is an electrifying atmosphere which as a promoter, is a pretty inspiring and impressive thing to witness!’ Judith Farrell Rowan – Planet Love MusicProductions In addition to his Djing commitments Ken somehow has found the time to turn his talents to production. Having formed Code 3 with his partner, Paul Irwin they were approached by the infamous Limbo Records to re launch the label with their tough, prog house track ‘Alchemizm’ which was heavily featured by Radio 1 jock Fergie on his cutting edge show. Also featured in ‘Fergie’s Furious Five’ was the track ‘Breakout’ produced by Ken and Paul under the guise of ‘Audio Freaq, which has a more techy vibe. In addition this versatile duo have produced a number of ‘breaks’ tracks namely Ex Breakz and The Humanist, which have be snapped up by Anne Savage (aka ’Dumb Blonde’) and featured on her Ministry of Sound Internet radio show. The production side of things is looking exciting for 2007 as Ken teams up with renowned producer, Dave Robertson from Punchfunk which will no doubt result in some very tasty tracks for release on the Excentric Muzik Label. With his genre-bending music style regularly gracing the airwaves on Pulse Radio, dates lining up from clubs such as Punckfunk in Bournmouth,The Key in London and The Stiff Kitten in Belfast and a nomination for MixMag’s Future Hero 2007 Ken Ferguson continues to stamp his mark on the dance music scene......Clubs Played Include-- Storm-Turnmills- Trade@The Arches- Music Box- The Metro- Red Box /Pod Blue@Subway City-The Big Joint - The Vault- Fusion- Ice Factory- God’s Kitchen-Sin- Lost@Elephant Rooms- Courtyard @ Revolution in Clublands- Skye Bar-Thompsons Garage- LUSH @ Kellys.....You can catch Ken at gigs coming up at:Hush at The Zoo Bar- NYE Lost @ Elephant Rooms- The Stiff Kitten with Free Flow TV- Punchfunk - (Bournemouth )- Bitch at Sankyes - Manchester- The Key - London-Gigs in the pipeline- Excentric Clubnite in Cana Ibiza (Summer Season)Events- -M8 Tour- -Full On Tour--Production- -Code 3- -Alchemizm (Limbo)--Audio Freaq- -Breakout - Ex Breakz - The Humanist--C.O.F- -M8 Cover Mount CD...
