Johnny on the Spot

About Me

Layout by CoolChaser Formed over 3 years ago, and based in the Inland Empire, "Johnny On The Spot" has played all over Southern California. "Johnny" is not your typical run of the mill top 40 cover band. As founding members (King) Dave Barrios and Billy Lindsey would tell you, "Johnny isn't a band, it's a philosophy!" "Johnny" does not believe music is about the musicians in the band, or how many notes they can crowd into four bars of music, it's "ALL ABOUT THE AUDIENCE!" Once bitten by "Johnny's" infectious attitude, you will never look at top 40/ cover music the same way. What seperates "Johnny" from most all other bands on the scene is their ability to pretty much play what the audience request's. "Johnny's" never ending library of music allows them to provide exactly what the crowd wants. And if they don't know the song, they'll figure it out..."on the spot!" Another crowd pleaser at "Johnny" shows is the live Karaoke with the band. You think you got what it takes to front the band, well then bring your bad self on up to the stage! anyone who wants to come up and sing live with the band pretty much can! The result, crowds go from "anonymous part goer" to "American idols" in an all out party that seemingly never ends. Club owners are constantly trying to fit "Johnny" in their already busy schedules.Their name really shows how spontaneous and "on the spot" they really are. It came from the first time they played together ... they literally met together and played their first gig ... on the spot. The audience was amazed at the way that they simply played anything and it sounded as if the band had been together forever! Someone in the crowd said ... "wow, you guys really are "Johnny on the spot!" The rest as they say, was history.Fronted by the incredible vocal talent and thundering bass attack of David Barrios, every "Johnny", show is packed with high energy and non-stop stage antics. All that raw power is provided by Sir William Lindsey leading the charge on his loaded "six string". Then, as if that weren't enough, throw in the amazing metronomic like drumming of Kristal Leidl, and...."Voila!" A force definately to be reckoned with on any party front! "Johnny" is sure to provide their fans with one crazy, live, un-stoppable barrage of some of the best live dance, top 40, rock-n-roll anywhere! No matter where you catch "Johnny", you're sure to get a different show than the last one!!!!"Johnny" can cover anything from ABBA to Zappa, with an emphasis on 80's new wave, and Hard Rock. "Johnny" is available for any musical event you have in mind, weddings, casinos, nightclubs, corporate party's, immigration citizenship party's and, well, you get the point!!! And remember, if we don't know the song you want to hear, we'll figure it out..."On the spot!"Johnny on the Spot uses Soul Reflections exclusively for ALL photography needs!
