If you could describe Virginya Gray in one word, it would be firey. She has not only been singing for as long as she can remember but she also plays guitar, piano, and produces her own songs. Her stage presence is like no other and the passion this young singer has for music and life in general is just so invigorating. Born and raised in St. Louis, she started out in plays, musicals, and talent shows throughout her school career and found many inspiring musicains to help her shape and mold a sound of her own. In the past few years Virginya's gotten to travel to New Orleans, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, and Lake of the Ozarks to sing in different shows. She doesn't like to lable music but V is mostly a soul singer who does R&B, Jazz, Hip Hop, some Pop, and a little Reggae.Recently V has recieved an Arts for Life best performance award along with her girls for their role as the Ronnetts in Floodstage Productions "Little Shop of Horrors." She is currently rehearsing with her sister for an upcoming Christmas show as well as polishing some new songs for an album that is to be out next year.

Influences: Mostly influenced by jazz and R&B greats, Virginya Gray grew up in the beginning of the Hip Hop scene. But this girl has a very ecclectic music collection from Toni Braxton to Billie Holiday to bands like Live, there isn't much that she hasn't heared. V attributes a lot of her vocal tones to Lauryen Hill, Boyz to Men, Tamia, along with Mirah Carey, Babyface, Whitney Houston, and even the likes of Louis Armstrong. Her piano skills come from playing the music of Brian Mcknight, Duke Ellington, and just playing with different chords. When it comes to guitar Miss Gray's tried everthing under the sun, Fuel, Live, India Arie, Total, Tamia, Monica, Sade, Zepplin, Bob Marley, and who could forget the god of guitar himself, Mr. Jimi Hendrix. She did start learning to play instruments just in case her voice ever went out so she wouldn't go crazy, but now it's an addiction. V desprately wants to learn to play the trumpet, and also get into some strings, but in all due time. The people who've influenced her in life as well as with music are 2pac, Jane Russel, Dr. Martin Luther King jr. And lets not forget Virginya's mom and big sis, one of her oldest friends Paris Crayton, and of course her great love Jeff Baumgartner. As well as Reggie, Toney, Corey, big brother Joe, Greg, Gramps, Granny lady, and all the rest of her angels that have moved on past this life.
