Robbie McEwen was born on June 24th 1972 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. He is currently in his 10th year as a professional cyclist. He rides for the Belgian team Davitamon-Lotto. He started his professional career with the Rabobank team in 1996. He was named Australia's Road Racer of the year in 1999 and 2002. Robbie is known as one of the fastest sprinters in the world of cycling, and has proved it by winning the Tour de France's green jersey in 2002, 2004, and 2006. Robbie also won 3 stages in this year's Tour de France.
