About Me

I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V3.6 !
I am a working model, actor and voice over talent, currently living in the Nashville, Tennessee area. My goal is to support myself, literally, with only the God-given talents I have within my five foot frame and retire from full-time mainstream employment in 2008; thus the triple threat ... modeling, acting, and voice over artist.
The first time I stepped on a stage changed my life forever. I didn't fully acknowledge it at the time, but if I had, I would have submitted that whatever that was I used to do for a living was over. There was no doubt performing was my passion. Today, I can't imagine doing anything other than further developing my talents - to continue to hone my body and voice into tools of expression.
I've been on my grind for about 5 years now. In that time, I've met some truly gifted and self-less individuals, who poured their hearts and souls into manifesting their dreams.
This is what I'm talking about.... I was on one movie set recently .. at about 4 o'clock in the morning, a good 3 hours into the scene. We were filming a completely unrehearsed action scene with little stunt training in a non-airconditioned stairwell in the middle of the summer in Tennessee. It was HELL-hot. A year into this particular project, the director became his entire production crew, had to re-cast a principal in the middle of filming and was being evicted from his production studio. It was an indy ... nuff said.
Another 10 scenes and he could finally put this movie to bed. The director went into the studio to get another reel of tape. I was hot, tired and probably pretty funky under all the blond hair and pleather, so I followed him out of the sweltering stairwell. He was distracted and didn't notice me. In the production studio, I watched quietly as the he picked up the camera (it seemed to weigh a million pounds); took a deep breath and let all his weight hit the wall behind him with a 'thud'. He exhaled and looked up toward the Heavens...seemingly to send up a silent prayer... perhaps for strength. The only force pulling that man off that wall was sheer intestinal fortitude. Sheer will. He had nothing else left.
In that moment, I realized how much this project meant to him and I knew that no matter how long we stayed in that oven of a staircase, or how many times I had to hit my nemisis over the head (without injuring him), have him fall down repeatedly, not sweat (because, after all, in the movie ..it is winter) and make it all look real....I could not offer this man anything but the very best I could possibly muster. How could I not?
That morning I learned just how badly you gotta want this. I want it that badly. I want the peace that will only be achieved when I work full-time for Elan Crawford.
To Gayla Dawn, Elaine Cato, William Jenkins, Reegus Flenory, Ryan Jackson, Barry Scott, Tyrone McClain, Candy Robins, Vanessa Lee, A. D. Wright ... thank you ...I stand on the shoulders of giants.
Thank you for allowing lil 'ole me the opportunity to attempt to embody your vision and having faith in my abilities. I will always be grateful to you.
