The Freeloaders

About Me

..[if !IE] ..[endif]

The Freeloaders was a Norwegian rock band from 2005-2007, which consisted of guitarist Johnny Kahlua, bassist Vetle Valsgård and drummer Alexander Teinum. The band combined Kahlua's blues guitar playing with the airy voice and intense basslines of Vetle Valsgård and the Keith Moon-influenced drumming of Alexander Teinum.

The Freeloaders's music included songs based on modern blues such as "Hammertime Today", as well as more eccentric songs such as "Walls Closing In", "Skulls & Bones" and "Insane". The Freeloaders's biggest hits were "Justifiable", "Jawbreaker", and "The Longest Walk".

The Freeloaders broke up in Mars 2007 due to clashing egos and divergent musical visions. They played the farewell concert at Charlies Bar on Mars 14, 2007
