About Me

I am Atlanta-based trumpet player and composer who plays on the local jazz/improv scene as well as performing in the studio and at special events.

In addition to the standard acoustic trumpet sound, I use a number of guitar effects units to acheive a rich palette of musical textures. This style is featured prominately with the Atlanta-based quartet, dp3 . I also play the didgeridoo.

You can find a full discography and some of my other projects at http://www.andrewboring.com .

Be sure to check dp3's MySpace page . This band was recently praised(?) by Creative Loafing's Frederick Noble as "the soundtrack to [his] own personal hell". We're on a sort-of hiatus while each of us work on various projects, but we'll be playing some shows this year.

Be sure to check out The A to Z Project , which is a duo gig with Zano (Atlanta's premiere underground hip-hop freestyle wordsmith). We're having a one-time performance at Eyedrum on Apr 27th. Add us to your friend's list!
