She was an important figurehead and much of the people of Zanarkand looked up to her. During the time, Lenne also had a lover named Shuin. Together they paralleled Tidus and Yuna. Lenne being both a summoner and singer was high in stature amongst her people, as was Shuin, who was a star blitball player. The two were very much in love.Looks and Style Lenne’s outfit in the game is known as the Singer (or Pop Star) outfit that can be worn during battle to inflict status effects, but that’s a whole different story. In terms of appearance, Lenne’s outfit really isn’t far too different from the version that Yuna wears in game. It is the only class outfit asides from Yuna, Rikku and Paine’s default costumes that can be seen in an FMV.In terms of physical appearance, Lenne somewhat resembles Yuna with differences such as a defined jaw and brown eyes instead of blue and green. Lenne happens to have a penchant for the colour purple since she wears a soft lavender eye shadow and purple lipstick.Lenne has long brown hair that reaches the small of her back. Considering the fact that she looks fairly asian, the colour of her hair, which is dark brown with nearly golden highlights, makes me think that much of it is coloured. The hair around her ears are tied into braids and threaded into yellow, white and purplish/fuchsia coloured beads.Her colour theme is blue and black. Her top is a navy blue, sleeveless blouse that’s reveals her midriff. Lining her top is a light blue to almost white frill design. Tucked underneath her top, possibly stitched to it is a scarf like cloth that is made of the same material as the frills that reaches down to her left knee.On her arms, she’s wearing some sort sleeves that are separated from the blouse. They seem to be made of a satiny sort of material. They’re tied to her arm by a small strand of black cloth at the wrist and near the elbows. This black cloth winds up her arm to form a criss-crossing pattern.Around her waist she wears a light blue leather belt that’s really not holding up anything, possibly there for decoration. She wears a black, lacy pleated miniskirt that doesn’t even reach her mid thighs and a pair of brown leather boots. Her boots are knee length with a rounded pattern at the end. They’re made of two layers, a darker brown material on the top and a tanner layer on the bottom. Covering the toe of the boots is a maroon layer. Basically, Lenne has an interesting schoolgirl look going for her.Shuyin and LenneLenne’s lover is a man named Shuyin who lived in the same time as her. Shuyin was a star blitzball player of Zanarkand. Though it is not specified how they met, it is most likely that it was due to their social status that they probably encountered each other more than once. It’s assumed that since Lenne is a summoner that Shuyin was her Guardian. Since around the time they were alive, there was no need for a summoner to partake on a pilgrimage and no need for a Guardian to protect the summoner. Shuyin certainly does act overly protective of Lenne, much to the point that he became obsessed in ensuring her survival during the Zanarkand-Bevelle war. Taken from what little information that is offered in the sequel, one can tell that Shuyin and Lenne really loved each other. Shuyin is a man who seems to have darker and violent tendencies and not quite that sane. Lenne on the other hand is gentler and is Shuyin’s voice of reason. She can instantly calm him with her voice and a simple touch can bring Shuyin into a peaceful state of mind. This is how they compliment each other and without Lenne, we can see how a thousand years of separation brought about his mental degradation. They live up to the meaning of being two halves of a whole. Shuyin is certainly no pushover, in fact, he’s pretty strong and a clear warrior since he seems to know how to use the sword. While he is physically strong, he lacks in spiritual and mental strength and this is where Lenne completes the whole. Spiritually, she’s strong and gives Shuyin the spiritual strength to continue on, even after the events in Bevelle, it was simply the thought of Lenne that drove him to survive a thousand years as a spirit. Though since Lenne is in need of someone to protect her physically, it gives Shuyin another method of defining himself, he’s her lover, but also her protector. Her need for a protector allows Shuyin to feel needed. Shuyin’s obsessive desire to protect Lenne was really what brought about their downfall and their separation after death. Shuyin’s spirit wandered Spira searching for her while Lenne resided within the Singer sphere, though that doesn’t meant that their story ends there.Update: since the defect of shuyins spirit his anger and the good side of him dispersed and the evil despaired. But shuyin’s spirit returned to its body out in the middle of the ocean near zanarkand. He awakes and is brought back to life basically. Also after his deffect by YRP (yuna/rikku/paine) lenne was separated from the songstress and made back into a real person. She shedded light on her history and on shiyin to YRP, then went with them and meet tidus (yunas lover) he looks the same as shuyin, but shes alone now on the search for shuyin And where he might b so that they both can live in peace in this time period.Main 2 songs she sings: Real emotion (her own) 1000 words (her own) before the dawn (evanescence) lifes so cool (sweetbox) unforgiven (sweetbox)
