Life in your native country is kind of weird after spending a chunk of time outside of it. I've become readjusted (and put back on the weight I'd lost ;_;) My life is slowly settling back to normal, and with any luck I'll be pursuing my MA/PhD in sociolinguistics or a related field within the year.
My name is Karl, and I'm a recovering Worlds of Warcraft addict. I'm also an aspiring author and part-time amateur sex therapist. I like to talk about sex and linguistics, in an exciting nighttime TV kind of way. Two years ago in November I participated in and completed NaNoWriMo and plan on doing so again this year. Who knows, maybe this year it'll suck less.

How have you been since high school? Where are you living?
Life since high school has actually been very eventful, though sometimes I forget and pretend otherwise. After high school I went on to UGA to get my B.A. in Linguistics with a minor in Japanese. Post-graduation, I moved to Japan for two years where I taught English in elementary and middle schools. I have countless stories of the bizareness of Japan... But life has been good, and there's honestly little to complain about. Though I still have a few things to cross off of my to-do list before the 10 year reunion - which really, when you think about it isn't so far away O_o
Currently I am back in Athens killing some time until I can start my graduate studies. I thought I wanted to do more linguistics, but now I'm not sure... Only time will tell.
