SPORTS: I play a lot of softball in the summer. It is one of my true passions. During the fall I play in a women's volleyball league. I also go to a lot of baseball games and football games. During the fall we are die hard OSU fans,. We don't miss any of the games. Ever. OUTSIDE: You will never catch me inside on a nice day. Typically you will find me outside pulling weeds, mowing the grass, watering my flowers, playing with Dominic...anything but inside. I enjoy taking care of our landscaping. There is nothing nicer than pulling up to a house that looks beautiful. I also like to plant flowers. I pick a color scheme every year and deck the house out. This year the color is Purple. It is looking gorgeous so far. COOKING: I LOVE cooking. We may be one of the few families left that sit down every night together and eat dinner. It's important to me. With everyone being busy all the time we need to have our uninterrupted family time once a day. I bake a lot during the winter when I am stuck indoors. Cakes, cookies, pies, casseroles. Often I give the food away because we can't have a bunch of sweets in the house. It's fun to see the look on someone's face when you hand them a plate of fresh baked cookies. ACTIVE: I like being active. I like to exercise. It makes me feel good about myself. I lift weights, use the treadmill and do resistance training. That sore feeling after a good work out is a great feeling in my eyes. That means you pushed your body. It is important to me to be healthy and physically fit. Sure I am not skinny by all means, but I do believe I am healthy.
Wow. There are so many people out there that have so much so many neat things to say. I like meeting anyone new. New people bring so much to life. I especially enjoy meeting people with different cultures. It amazes me how different lifestyles can be. Myspace Graphics - Myspace Layouts
I like music. I listen to it all the time. Country is my favorite. But I listen everything. Jazz, R&B, Pop, Rock, Classical... I like it all. I will admit I do have a thing for 80's rock and 80's Classic Rock though. I finally got my IPOD. I was so happy! I have a bunch of great music loaded in to it and I use it all the time.

I rarely watch TV. Curt keeps control of the remote so if the TV is on we are watching ESPN, World Poker Tour or MTV. It used to drive me crazy, but I have gotten used to it. In fact I have even started liking some of the shows he watches.
I don't have time to read. I always try to start a book and I never end up finishing it. I do have a subscription to Cosmopolitan and that is my guilty pleasure. So if that counts for reading then so be it.
My Hero is my dad. He was diagnosed with Cancer when I was 14 years old. He fought through it for 3 years and died when I was 17. The whole time he was fighting through it he always tried to be so upbeat. He never wanted us to know he was suffering. He did his very best to make it to all of my softball games (Even though I look back now and I know that he was absolutely miserable sitting in the rain and cold) and he always had a pack of bubble gum for the team. He worked as long as he could. I can remember him being in the hospital and he had the company (Roadway Express) bring him a laptop so he could work while he was getting Chemo. He was dedicated to making sure that his family was always taken care even when he was not at his best. He had a massive stroke on my parents wedding anniversary. The Doctors Told us that he would die with in the next few hours. He didn't. He held on all day long and died just after midnight the next day. I still think to this day he fought the entire day so he wouldn't die on their wedding anniversary and leave my mom with that memory of him on their special day. When we got home from the hospital that day there was a dozen red roses sitting on the front porch for my mom. There was a card attached that said "To My Wife on our Anniversary. I love you -Tom" Later we found out that he had placed that order a year prior just in case he didn't make it. If that isn't true, deep down love and devotion for your family, I don't know what is. My Dad had class, determination and a driving devotion for life and his family. I respect him for the life that he lead and the path he put me on before he died. I wouldn't be who I am today if it were not for him. I miss him dearly. Even though it has been almost 9 years now I still choke up every once in a while and the Holidays are still hard. I was given a gift from God though 5 years ago. I had a little boy. My Due date was November 19th. I went 2 weeks past my due date to have him on November 30th. My Dad's birthday. It was very emotional but to this day I can't help but think there had to be some sort of divine intervention to make that happen and for my son to share such a meaningful birthday with such a special person.
