The 3 Dolls

About Me

'The 3 Dolls' are Charlotte Mudge, Lissy Elliott and Bronwyn Gell - Adelaide's own cowgirl cabaret act. Formerly known as 'The Dolls', this tongue-in-cheek trio have evolved over seven years from Andrews Sisters accapella through to the creation of their unique country style, fashioned on bluegrass, blues and gospel.Charlotte, Bronwyn and Lissy wrote and performed their debut cabaret show The Dolls in Freudian Slips for Adelaide's '06 Fringe Festival, and also in 2006 launched their debut CD If I were a much better wife. The Dolls in Freudian Slips cabaret show was reinvented to critical aclaim for the 2007 Adelaide Fringe Festival (under the direction of Rachael Kirkham) and is certain to cause a stir when the show commences the Australian festival circuit.

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: www.the3dolls.com
Band Members: The Dolls are Charlotte Mudge, Bronwyn Gell and Lissy Elliott on vocals. Their kick-ass band of guitar (David Rhodes), double bass (Peter Nixon) and drums (Rob Eyres) ignites to fire up the joint with red hot, rollicking tunes and slow-baked ballads straight off The Dolls Original Grill.
Influences: Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, Slim Dusty, Woodie Guthrie, Patty Griffin, the Andrews Sisters, Barbara Streisand (that's Bron's fault) and Queen.
Sounds Like: A bit Andrews Sisters meets Johnny Cash for high tea in the garden.
Type of Label: Major
