Jon is a member of the American Federation of Musicians(AFM).
When I was a kid, I made my first drumkit out of ice cream pails and played along to Van Halen and Twisted Sister. I learned music theory and Saxophone in Elementary School Band. I also learned piano thru Yamaha Piano after school. I took Classical Guitar during Grade 9. I then switched to Electric Guitar the next year. I took a short Upright Bass class during Grade 11(1990). I also took, Physics and cheated off my lab partner, Duk Ha the entire semester; we listened to, PWEI extensively. Because the final exam counted for over 50% of our final grade, I failed..having drawn a portrait of, J Mascis on the exam paper.
My first band, Unkle Alice was formed in 1992. I left the band in 1996. Unkle Alice recorded two albums; "Goat Now", "Gravel Groove Manifesto", and one live CBC recording of the band playing the, Ness Creek Music Festival in Saskatchewan. I joined a second band, the Dalai Lamas in 1997. I am featured playing Sax. on a limited edition Dalai Lamas Demo cassette only.
My third band, the Lush Monkeys featured me on guitar, vocals & drum programming. The Lush Monkeys have one CD and there are limited copies available. I have also played Sax. in the horn section for Reggae band, Weight of the World and R&B band, Gary Martin & the Heavenly Blues.
