Misery Remains

Misery Remains is a unique one-man, melodic/brutal death metal band. The guitars, bass, and vocals are performed and recorded on PC. The drums are created with virtual drum machine software. The music contains elements and influences of death, melodic death, black, and thrash metal. History: Misery Remains is Matt Arndt. Matt has played guitar in hardcore/punk, thrash, death metal, and melodic death metal bands, in that order, since 1989. Simplex 12(1989) was a short-lived, hardcore/punk band playing originals and covers from The Misfits, Suicidal Tendencies, Murphy's Law, and Rush. Bewilder(1991-1993) was a thrash band playing originals and covers from pre-90's-Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Suicidal Tendencies, Sepultura, Pantera, and Iron Maiden. Remains(1994-1998) was a powerful, three-piece, thrash/death/groove brutal metal band playing primarily originals with a cover or two from Cannibal Corpse. Divine Misery(formed 1995, but joined in 1999 and disbanded 1999) was a melodic death metal band playing originals only. Misery Remains(2000-present) is Matt Arndt's current project.
