About Me

I am the daughter of wonderful parents who are still happy. I grew up a military brat. Yes, my dad is a retired officer of the United States Air Force. I grew up primarily in the SE US. I graduated in AK, even though I consider my hs to be in SC. I have a wonderful son, who's a pretty amazing person with a good heart and great sense of humor by the grace of God. We moved to Vdub about 8 years ago. I graduated a couple years ago, and have been cleaning, filling, and numbing ever since! =P I have the BEST friends I could ask for whom I truly consider part of my family.

My Interests

~Mother Teresa

I'd like to meet:

How about who I don't? I don't want gross messages, or spammers, or guys who want a million girls as their "friends". I love being here because this is the way I get to see my family members who live on the opposite side of the country, their families and what they look like. Their looks have changed ALOT (I have a good-lookin' family!!) and this only reminds me that I need to figure out a way to see them. I also keep in touch with friends from here and there, and maybe a few new ones too! If you can make me laugh, you're in. =)

Music:

Well, just about everything...REALLY! I love anything from pop to christian to folk to jazz to country. Of course, that doesn't mean I love ALL pop, folk, christian or country. Music that fits my mood.

Movies:

Love chick flicks, sappy love stories, comedies, action that gets me pumped, dance movies that make me get up at the end and wish I had asked my parents to put me in lessons cuz I look like an idiot but really don't care.

Television:

Thursday night sucker....Love The Office and My Name...American Idol..A good basketball game. Since it's summer, I'm not really watching too much, but if I somehow come across TLC, I somehow get totally sucked in! That's weird to me, I try to stay away.

Books:

I really do love to read. I think I love even more to buy books. I have several waiting for me. =) Recent loves...umm Eat, Pray, Love...absolutely loved it! hmmm...Kite Runner was really good, didn't want to put it down although it left me with a feeling of sadness- there wasn't a lot of happiness in the book. I really loved the Wedding...had me in tears at the end. Into the Wild was excellent- needed dictionary.com for that one...lol. I'm just starting The Alchemist. Looking forward to it. "Each man kills the thing he loves."

Heroes:

My God and my parents.... Not just saying that. Love you!!

Fate vs. Free-will

I love this book... "Destiny, I feel, is also a relationship--a play between divine grace and willful self-effort.  Half of it you have no control over; half of it is absolutely in your hands, an...

Parla come magni

Or, say it like you eat it. Or, lay it on the table. It is better to live your own destiny imperfectly than to live an imitation of somebody else’s life with perfection.

So you’ve been DELETED!

The other day I decided that I would go through my "friends" list and delete people that I have never communicated with.  No big deal, right?  So about 20 left the building.  I really d...

Dream, Do, Wait. And, oh yeah, Pray.

So I have this dream for lack of a better word.  I've had it now for a while, but in the last year sorta divised a tentative plan to achieve it.  It's so far from where I am&n...

Sometimes you win, and sometimes you learn.

Sometimes you win, and sometimes you learn.  Most people never win because they're more afraid of losing.  In school we learn that mistakes are bad, and we are punished for making them. ...
