Franklin in a very small quiet town named Lettsworth, Louisiana. As a child, Johna was very shy and quiet. At age 11, she relocated to Donaldsonville, Louisiana were her blessing became obviously evident.Johna began her singing career at the tender age of 4, where she became a member of the gospel choir. Johna's amazing voice was recognized early on and came as no surprise to all who know her and her family. Johna's voice was passed down from two generations of female R&B singers. The first generation is her maternal grandmother, the late Fannie Mae Johnson. The second generation is her mother, Mrs. Lori A. Johnson-Branch.Johna has made many accomplishments with the beauty of her voice. She became the lead singer the I.D.M.R International Choir, obtaining sweet victory for four consecutive years in all local and district competitions for the Donaldsonville High School Chorus and has brought warmth to plenty of hearts at school programs, weddings, and other private functions were she has preformed.In addition to her exceptional talent, Johna is also blessed with the gift of songwriting. She has written and recorded over 30 songs including the new debut singles "All That U Need" and "Out 2Nite".Johna also recorded her first album "Keeping It Real" in 2001. She has also had the pleasure of being a guest artist on several other artists'CDs such as Lil Cali, Scrap Iron, Loco, The Illrelatives (live performance on the television showcase,"The Louisiana Jukebox" New Orleans,LA.) and a host of other artists.Today "Jaye" is busy in the studio recording her second debut album set to release in the summer of 2006.
