mas-ter pro-du-cer [mást?r pr? dooss?r] (plural there are no plurals )1. a person who is talented in all aspects of music from creating the beat from scratch, layering the track with original sounds (played on a keyboard) to lacing the track with vocals (vocal arrangements, harmonies etc.)2. a person who can elaborate on a sample and turn it into something else completely3. a person who can work and jump competently from genre to genre within the music field4. a person who has the ability to turn nothing into somethingJAYELMP ® RRR©Jayel Master Producer aka J4S0N aka Jay Jay Law is an entity in his own right. This talented individual is said to have many sides. Jayel started making music at an early age when his mother bought a piano for the household and he would spend hours getting accustomed to the keys. He would make up his own melodies and sing along with his younger sister and sometimes try to match up the notes with music he heard on TV or on the radio. He messed around with the trumpet and tenor horn in middle school and got more serious with music in secondary school where he taught himself to play the drums. Jayel would stay behind after school and wait until the kids who could afford to have lessons were finished and then practice on his own until he could bang out a beat. One day a music teacher noticed him and invited him to play percussion with the steel band that had just come to the school. This enabled Jayel to get the chance to perform in front of audiences and experience a feeling that he enjoyed so much. He soon learned to play more instruments within the band then an abrupt move was made in his life. His family had decided to move from the UK to Africa where for the next five years the only thing musical he did was sing in the choir at church. Arriving back into the UK Jayel yearned to get back into music so he went back to his old secondary school where he found the same teacher still working with the steel band. He was invited to go on tour with the band to Europe and play percussion. Jayel realised that he wanted to do more than just play percussion for his former secondary school so started putting the feelers out to try and learn more about studio music. He was introduced to an artist who had major successes in the main charts and was advised by him not to enter into such an industry. This discouraged Jayel and he became a DJ to supplement his thirst for music. Jayel worked in the night club sector for a number of years and on one particular night got involved in some trouble, got wrongly accused and was sent to prison for a number of years. Whilst inside Jayel found out there was a mini studio in there and quickly hooked up with the inmate who owned it and learnt the principles of midi and recording. Jayel was let out early after his case went back to trial and ended up spending a year in jail. He used the system to put him on a sound engineering course upon his release and has been living his dream of producing music ever since. Jayel has studios in the UK and currently building studios in the Caribbean and Africa. Jayel has worked with a number of artist from all over the globe and continues to do so.
