Avizo has been in existence for over 20 years now and consists of a 4 piece horn section, a solid rythym section and a vocalist. In our years of existence, we have been fortunate enough to have played some of the finest venues that the US has to offer; including a date at the Las Vegas Hilton in July of 2006. We have also been asked to perform with many of Tejano's top artists such as; Augustin Ramirez, Sunny Ozuna, David Marez, Freddie Martinez, Carlos Guzman, Laura Canales (RIP), El Charro Negro, Johnny Hernandez, Little Joe, and a few others. In 2006, Avizo's latest release entilted "The Power Of Friends" was nominated for a Grammy under the "Best Tejano Album" category. We also received 5 nominations for the Tejano Music Awards, and are nominated for the Houston Press Award the year; an award in which we won in 2004.
