juli (tunes)

i've been writing songs for as long as i remember and i've been playing guitar (self-taught, semi-dad-taught) since i was 15. when i was 11, i was on a kid's cd by kenny green that we recorded in woodstock, ny. i also toured through england as a part of a choir at the same age. i've played a coffee shop or two and a few school events in new york, where i grew up.in 2000 i got a demo made by hummingbird sound, though now i'm pretty embarassed by it, but i suppose outgrowing your work tends to happen. i've only left three songs up from it, because i find them a bit immature. since that's all i have on cd though, that's all you get to hear for now, unless of course you live in my area and you ask to hear something else :)i was also a pre-school music teacher for three years at a preschool in south philadelphia. though now that i am a stay at home mom, i must wait until naptime to work on my upcoming album.as for the art aspect: in high school i had a weekly cartoon column for a local paper called juli toons (hence juli tunes). check out my website http://web.me.com/juliness (soon to be julitoons.com)peace.
