Sikhona?? A four-piece band consisting of James Kirby (Vocals/Guitar), Tom Arnott (Bass/Backing Vocals), Neil Williams (Drums) and Tom Pierce (Lead Guitar) have been song writing and performing since 2004.
A 4-track demo was recorded during the summer 2005 and since then they have been working hard not only in the rehearsal room (which they spend hours on end, day in / day out) but also promoting themselves, aiming to expand and perform inside and out of the Kent area.
Recently, back in March, Sikhona had a huge weight lifted off their shoulders when good friend Phil Ramsden came on the scene. Phil (also a musician) has been heavily involved over the past few months dealing with the management and promoting of the band. It enables us to focus on what we do best..and that is composing!!!! Kirby said.
A lot has happened over the last year, the lads have been booked to play several festivals this summer along with outdoor gigs and there first London appearance in Leicester Square in June is a good sign that they are progressing and moving forward.
Despite the barriers and tall walls that pretty much every band comes across, and the slim chances of Making it, Sikhona are determined to succeed but one thing the band members all have in common is the love of music and their desire to work together. Having all attended the same school the four consider themselves best friends.
