Dre Johnson, 2am-6am weekdays, WERQ, Baltimore, 92Q Jams The Most Hip Hop and R&B.
My career and my love of media actually began for me as a young child listening to the radio and watching TV news. I constantly listened, watched and emulated the different personalities on TV and Radio. Believe it or not, as a child, I set up a studio in my bedroom. I later converted my entire bedroom into my own personal radio station.
I attended The Broadcasting Institute of Maryland in my home town of Baltimore. In 1999, I joined powerhouse Radio One heritage station WERQ, 92Q Baltimore as a weekend air personality. God blessed and I was quickly promoted to my own hip-hop show "The Aftermath".
In 2000, I joined Radio One Cleveland, WENZ, Z107.9 as the night personality. I created the night show "Live In Basement". The show quickly became number one. God continued to bless and I've been featured in numerous articles and have made several TV appearances including BET's 50 Cent "The Massacre".
I returned to Baltimore in 2001 as an air personality and Assistant Production Director for WERQ, 92Q. In February 2006 I joined Radio One St Louis as the night host of "The Dre Johnson Show" 7pm-12mid on Hot 104.1, WHHL.Only to return to my roots in March 2007 2am-6am on 92Q in Baltimore.
