BRAIN RESIN

About Me

The seed of Brain Resin was sown in 1994 by Michael(bass) and Victor(guitar), but it wasnt until 1997 the band played their 1st real show. Prior to that, theyd recorded 2 demos in 95 before Claudio(drums) returned to Brazil for 96.
The band gained and lost 2nd guitarist Thomas Madden (Kill Boogie, Blue Wine and Sidewalk Regrets) in between their 1st album 'Golden Oldies' and their 2nd - Unreality Remains.
The band had already supported Dystopia and Abstain, both from the US; toured Lismore and Newcastle, playing with Conation; Adelaide, playing at Noisefest alongside Good Clean Fun, The Kill, Identity Theft, Iron Sausage, Captain Cleanoff and many many more; Sydney, playing with Stockholm Syndrome, Iron Sausage, Miscreation, Bleeding Face and Encryptor, all before touring Europe in 2001.
The European tour was in winter, so it was fast, sludgey, and dirty just like their music. It consisted of 15 shows in 21 days through Germany, Poland, Czech Republic and Switzerland.
Upon returning in 2002, the band gained ex Fisted Sister vocalist Amanda, and again toured down south playing with Hypnotoad, The Pure Evil Trio and Conation. In 2003 Warren Crocker from Battle Chimp joined to replace founding member Michael while he went overseas for two years. After 2 years Michael returned and Warren left the band. Since then, the band has locally supported R.A.M.B.O. and Iron Lung, both from the US, and toured Nimbin, Lismore, Newcastle, Sydney and Melbourne. A new Brain Resin song appears on the recently released Lake Cowal Benefit compilation - www.savelakecowal.org
Currently the band is all over the shop. Victor makes dubstep and also plays in Battle Chimp, Michael lives in Melbourne and plays in Fangs of... and Raised by Wolves, Amanda lives in Newcastle and Claudio is a Capoeira master. Our 2005 recorded album If Pain Persists is due on Spin Control probably sometime in 2008 unless Aaron gives up on us.
