Tom Dibb

Made in August 1985, raised in Slough for the majority of my child hood. Ever since i could write I've been jotting down thoughts on experience, people i've met or seen, and the places i've been. At 16 i picked up a guitar and a mate showed me a few chords, I put them together, hummed a little melody and mixed in some of those thoughts i'd written down, and that was my first song. Moved to norfolk with the folks that year and met a group of guys in an instrumental funk band, looking for a vocalist, so i had ago and then became part of kipdenooi for the next two and half years. really got in to writing lyrics and melodies. I later decided to move to london and unfortunatly the band were'nt keen on following and kipdenooi died out. At 20 picked up the guitar again, of course i needed to accompany my self with something and play an instrument to write with. started getting a pretty good repetoir of songs together and picking up new chords and bits on the guitar from aquantances and books and just pissing about. I thought about giving some gigs ago, so i went to record a demo at insomnia studios in hertford, with a friend Oscar Golding smashing it up on the bass. This is where i was taken on by insomnia music. Will Thomas then teamed up with us as lead guitarist and so the sound has been growing. We're currently recording the album which is gonna be awesome, and generally working dead hard to enjoy the better things in life.
