Welcome and many thanks for czecking out this site which might seem confusing but is just absolutely crammed full of all my musical involvments in Edinburgh. The projects I'm involved in in Scotland are - "SALSA-CELTICA"(a fusion group with 11 members combining the powers of celtic and salsa musics.- check out -"salsaceltica.com") It is a well established group that plays locally, nationally and internationally. - "Waa -Sylla" ( this is a dance and drum group based around the music traditions af west africa- check out "waasylla.org") - " VOLOVOX " ( this is more of a 4 piece indie-pop-funk-rock-dance band - playing trad istruments - drums, bass, guitar/vocals and saxophone - check it out the music section of my space under "volovox") - " MANDALA-MOODZ "( this is were my passion lies - with the influence and instrumentation of Mother-Africa. )MANDALA-MOODZIs a new band made up of versatile reptiles coming together from the varied and talented Edinburgh music scenes. The band’s music is about the fun in the pursuit of peace, in the Chaos of the everchanging “ Moodz ” of a scene that becomes part or apart of who we are. our sound is unique, positive, dance-able and inticing. Reaching from infectious grooves from Pete and Stuart with a layer of deep bass juice from Conrad to tasty rhythm/wah guitar and vox from front man – Dooogie, while Steve weaves punchy section and soaring/wild solo expression on saxophones. Simply our sound is – World-Pop-Dub-Soul-House-Indie/Rock- Tribal-Funk-Groove……….. Come and enjoy their set as they develop their sound, with appearances from Ngoni, Didgeridoo, Djembe /drum and dance floor action. “WANTINARA” - "FARFEY" ( this is African strings and wild winds. This is a trio with Ngoni, Balon, Guitar, sax/flute and voice - playing traditional and home grown songs with grooves and melodies of eleveting thermals)- "DIWAN" ( This is fantastic band with rhythmic insistency, bass groove, weaving afro psychi guitar, and Samba Sene on rhythm guitar and singing with passion with soaring african tenor vocals . The big band has the addition of a three strong brass section and a kit player _- afro high life with trad instuments laying down positive grooves)
