About Me
So, unfortunately, the snowboarding season is passed. :( I had a great time in BC though. On to bigger and better things--like kickstarting a sustainable food movement in New Haven, CT. It's already started, but I think I can give it the kick in the pants which will catapult it more quickly into something amazing, new, vibrant, and effective. At the same time, I'm opening (with the amazing Tim Applebee) a restaurant there next Spring called Local.I love free music outdors, and hangin with my friends, dancing, drinking wine, philosophizing, or just plain BSing. My happiest pursuits are cooking (you name it, I can make it), snowboarding, enjoying myself back-country (summer/winter), research, ceramics, and anything else requiring an excellent sense of balance, a discerning intellect, and/or a strong, refined touch. Like to go out on the weekends, and then make a magnificent brunch with friend(s) sometime around noon Sunday. I revel in an iconoclastic, irreverent style. . .expressed more in thoughts and words, but occasionally escaping into my wardrobe. I love to read forward-thinking books addressing political, social or environmental concerns--Natural Capitalism, Biomimicry, Phil Dick, Ursula LeGuin. Left-wing whiners/doom-callers, and selfish/myopic right-wingers both make me wince. I like to be around people who are aware, and still give a sh*t.
