About Me

On June 10th 1937, construction started on the Vogue Theatre. The property was bought by Butterfield Theatres in December 1935. The Vogue Theatre was ready for business on Jan 10th, 1938.The Vogue was operated under the Butterfield name until around 1984.In 1985 Steiner Family Cinemas bought the Vogue from the Butterfield Theatre chain. In March of 1992, Super Value Cinemas agreed to lease the Vogue for 5 years. In Jan of 1995 SVC were evicted due to non-payment of rent, as well as over 40,000 worth of fees associated with the Vogue, as well as with two other theatres in the Steiner Cinema chain; one in Riverview, and one in Cold water. In July of 1995, the Burkhart family leased the Vogue from Steiner Cinemas. July 2005, Burkart family declines to renew their lease citing a "legal battle" with the owner, and the theatre needing $15,000 worth of emergency repairs. July 2006 AA Cinemas signs a one year lease of the Vogue. June 2007, AA Cinema does not renew lease. July 2007 Vogue Theatre reopens under new management under the direct supervision of the owners.
