Henry Flynt and Libby Flynt formed "The Flynts" at the beginning of 2008 to play in Lisbon at the TEST Foundation. They continue to be active. So far, their set consists of one long rock instrumental on which they both play lead guitar against a tonic pedal-point rhythm track, mixing and matching styles, ending with a "raga" section and a coda alluding to Flynt's earliest duet work with La Monte Young. Henry Flynt played publicly in New York in the 1970s and early 1980s, headed the band Nova'billy, and has many published recordings on Recorded, Locust, and Ampersand. Libby Flynt has been playing guitar all her life; she toured with Band of Susans in 1990.
