Way of Sound Productions

About Me

Thanks for taking a look and listen at Chris Addison's MySpace music page. Addison is a guitarist, drummer and producer with years of experience on the stage and in the studio. He is also the operator of Way of Sound Productions, a full service live and studio production organization which arose as an unintended consequence of his wide and varied multi-instrumental career.
Currently, Addison is in several live projects. He is one half of Sequentialists, providing the beats in a live drum and bass and jungle duo with keyboard virtuoso Adam Revell. He is also one of the drummers in the Boulder based electronica coalition known as MFA (Motion for Alliance). As of late, Addison has only been playing pick up gigs on guitar, but plans are in the works for several new projects with him back on the strings in the very near future.
Though mainly a guitarist with jazz roots, Addison has been performing live on stage and in the studio on guitar, drums, percussion, keys and several other instruments for almost two decades. Since releasing his first full length album with the central Florida punk band Killjoy at the age of sixteen, Addison has played with acts across the spectrum from be-bop, bluegrass and afro cuban ensembles to gypsy jazz, jam bands, and experimental electronica outfits. He has played for one person in a tiny mountain bar and for thousands on a well lit stage. Compiled with time at the controls and in the room at some of the finest studios in the country, Addison's experience began to encompass more than just performance.
So after years in front of the microphone, Addison started to help others produce music in the fall of 2003. That's when Way of Sound Productions was born in the snowy mountains above Boulder, Colorado. In its short history, it has grown steadily having churned out music for diverse acts such as Jesse White, Action Figure 8, Morsoul, Sentimental Hitmen, Still Sounds, Whether?Collective (one of Addison's old jam bands), Jay Hollingsworth, J. Wail, and others. It is also where Addison's solo electronica opus, "Outnumbered" was written, performed, produced, mixed and mastered single handedly in the fall of 2006.
If you need recording and /or mixing of your project or if you need original music for commercials, movies or video games Way of Sound can help with the ability to record 22/24 tracks simultaneously in the studio or in the club, mix and master with the latest versions of industry standard software and the musical insight of a producer with years of experience in all styles of music.
Chris Addison is also available for hire in all of his capacities, including guitarist, singer, drummer, percussionist, live sound engineer, arranger, composer, teacher (guitar only), and producer.Peace
