Michel started DJ’ing in 1988 spinning the wheels of steel at small parties and birthday parties. In 1993 Michel got to play for 3 months at the Spanish club Pacha and in the same year he started his weekly radio show at System FM. Many local DJ..s and national stars such as 100% Isis, Marcello and Cellie rocked the turntables on air together with Michel.Also Michel gained respect playing gigs at clubs like Club Time and Catacomb Studios (both in Amsterdam), Waakzaamheid (Koog aan de Zaan), Fun Factory (Zaandam), the Looseclub parties, several bars and underground locations, playing alongside national and international heroes like Jerome, Steve Rachmad, Cellie, Shinedoe, Estroe, Carlijn, Erick E, Marcello, Isis, Per, Surgeon, Jay Denham, Space DJ’z, Thomas Krome and Rino Cerrone.From his and his friends love for house music the foundation Abstract was born in 1999, giving parties in i.e. Lichtfabriek in Haarlem, organising small underground parties at various cool locations and a weekly club/techno evening called Solid, which was held at Latido in Zaandam. In December 2002 “Abstract†started with giving parties at the Buk Buk in Heiloo. “Format†was the name of this new evening. Michel was one of the residents of Format. The last edition of Format was in may 2006 then Michel played together with Chris Hope. In the beginning 2003 Michel started to play on a new houseclassicsevening in Atlantis, Alkmaar. Many classicparties followed in 2003 & 2004. In October 2006 a new techno evening was started in Atlantis, Alkmaar which is called “Testlab†Michel is hosting this new evening together with dj Ken. Every last Friday of the month they invite as well national as international dj’s.Although Michel prefers pleasing the crowd on dancefloors with his energetic and distinguishing techno sets, he has always been an allround DJ also playing clubhouse, techhouse, minimal, house classics and much more… One thing is clear: Everywhere Michel rocks the turntables the crowd is bound to go out of it’s mind!
