Band Members: Drew Bolsega & Steve Crabtree.......................................Drummer Steve Crabtree, one of nine siblings was born & raised in Chicago's Morgan Park Beverly neighborhood and spent many summers in a east coast town just south of the Stone Pony's Asbury Park NJ in Spring Lake. He has also spent many years in the south burbs and resides with his family in NWI. I added some tunes that I recorded with Mammoth (Suzy 1975) & (Give You My Love 2009) and Return of the Dinosaur (Anti-Gun & Silence 2003).Songwriter/Musician Drew Bolsega spent quite a bit of time on the West Coast & now reside's in the region of NWI. He continues to write exceptional music & I love and respect him dearly. Drew's family left a major fingerprint on the lives of many musicians thru Bolsega Music. His father and brothers musical history lives on in the heart of all those who knew them.About the album: The cover shot of Sail Boat on our CD was taken by the famous Chicago photographer of the day Martin E. Denash, Approx. 1.5 miles west of Hyde Park Crib, midway between Jackson Park Harbor and Hyde Park Shoal 1.5 miles east of Chicago shoreline on August 20th 1938.It is a photo of Steve's grandfathers sail boat (kept in Jackson Park Harbor) who worked for Wrigley's as a plant superintendent. His Dad as a young man, Uncle & Grandparents are pictured on the boat. The album jacket contains pictures of Steve's Great Grandfather's boat taken in Staten Island Harbor around 1910 along beach property he owned on South Beach near the Crabtree Coal Yard.Included are photos of his parents Chris Craft taken at their New Buffalo Slip & Trawler that they retired to during the cold winters prior to their demise, photo taken in Long Boat Keys.Who can forget his brother Skip's infamous "Roamer" photo taken in South Haven Michigan & his recent sailboat upon which he sailed the high seas.Photographer Mike Crabtree contributed the photo "Sea at Sunset" which was silk screened on the disc and also provided "The Ride" photo of the old Pontiac on reverse side of CD cover. (www.crabphoto.com)In this age of music downloads I think its as important to add artwork (and photos) to the CD music presentation to imprint both the music & arts. This CD of original songs is a mix of Classic Rock, Melodic Rock, Hard Rock, Country Rock & Instrumental Rock with a touch of Blues. (sc)
