I am here for Networking

About Me

Love Parrots? Me too! Birds have always been a part of my life. When I was a child my mother had small birds and for my own daughters 6th birthday she received a Budgie. What started out as one pet soon turned into two, then three, then four, and so on and so on. I have been in every facet of bird owning there is over the years. We have had simple beloved pets to prized winning show birds to breeding addorable babies and working the bird fair circuit untill I finally realized a long time dream and opened a store! The Nature Chest has been in buisness since 1996 and has expanded into two wonderful Internet companies as well - www.naturechest.com and www.calypsoparrot.com. We also spend a lot of time visiting with local schools, libraries, nursing homes, and other area groups to introduce people and especially the children to the world of parrots with our educational program. This has always been a family affair and still is with my two daughters working with me and even the grandchildren love the birds. * *
