The Bluffers,
The Bluffers are from the town of Coatbridge just outside Glasgow, formed in 2006 as something to do as they left school. They started gigging towards the end of the year and through 2007 they grow in performing and writing to record there first demos which have gained them favorable reviews and a showcase with Clyde 1 FM. They mix the raucous energy of bands such as The Libertines and The Cribs with the melodic ear of The Las and Travis. The Band are just about to record some new material and intend on building on the foundations of a promising beginning in 2008.
Winner of New Music Post tune of the week
This combo gave an almighty bow to the era of quintessentially English street punk.,.. groupies would be more likely to consist of love struck teenage girls with a bit of musical know-how….. The performance was energetic and chaotic ……the bluff may well be pulled off.. "

"I’d go see a band called The Bluffers "
Dougie Payne, Travis
"What do you do when you get bored? Go out, see a movie? Or maybe start a band; well that’s what the Bluffers did after feeling bored! Catchy guitars, melodic vocal harmonies and enough bounce to get you jumping around whilst listening!"
Gavin H, Infuzed
"Arctic Monkeys style sounds from the indie headliners"
The List Magazine feb 07
"This young Coatbridge act show maturity beyond their years. Tales of picking up girls at parties and general laddish shenanigans, they do share with the likes of The View and the Libertines a lot of ground, and musically the slightly chaotic music adds to the charm "
