Hello friend. If u like the songs, drop me a line. If u like it a lot: tell all ur friends. I'm looking 4 record companies, distribution, managers, bookers, journalists and radio/tv stations who would like to help me get my music known to the world :) The short version: I'm a danish singer/songwriter, living in Copenhagen. I perform and teach professionally, and have done so for many years. Drop me a line. Im always interrested in new connections, friends, collaborations and feed-back.
My singing career started when I was 5. There was this meeting in my kindergarten about grown-up-stuff I kinda' didn't give a flying freak about. All I knew was that I'd get to meet my friends in the evening too, and that there would probably be both cake & limonade and nice & funny people...
At that time I was listening a lot, and with wild enthusiasm, to an old tape of my parents with red socialist songs. I knew some of them by heart, and felt somehow inspired that evening at the meeting. Maybe due to the extra sugar injection. So I stood up and said that I would like to sing a song for everyone if that was OK...?
And with no hesitation what-so-ever I belted out:
Avanti o popolo, alla riscossa,
Bandiera rossa, bandiera rossa
Avanti o popolo, alla riscossa,
Bandiera rossa trionferà .
Bandiera rossa la trionferÃ
Bandiera rossa la trionferÃ
Bandiera rossa la trionferÃ
Evviva il comunismo e la libertà !
In the best Italian I could, which was something like nothing at all. I didnt understand the words, but just liked the song and copied the sounds
A couple of years later I started on the piano (8 yo). Then I took up guitar (15 yo), and then back to singing (16 yo). Then I started to write songs (17 yo), and that has been a great part of my life ever since.
All that is many years ago now.
Recently I finished two big projects:
-
The 5-year education as a teacher / performer of music at the nice, well equipped, resourceful and prestigious, but not flawless, rhythmic music school in Copenhagen: the Danish Rhythmic Music Conservatory (rmc.dk).
Recording my debut album, consisting of my compositions, me doing all vocals and the main part of the guitars. It has not been published yet, as I miss doing the mastering and the artwork and finding a record company.
My songs always originate from what I see and how I feel. In a sense you could call them a kind of diary. Since I dont write actual diary, that is sometimes the way they serve me: small stories of my life and the world at the particular point the song was written
That is how I see myself as performer: a storyteller.
Not only in the lyrics of my songs, but also in the stuff being said in between...
Come to one of my shows, and you'll understand what I'm talking about.
There's just something about music that inspires and gives you breathing room from every day life stress and pressure and lifts the weight of the world off your shoulders.
I live to play and play to live, and teach too, cause its also damn important to pass the music on!
Eternal love and good vibes for everyone, everywhere, or at least a smile
