FUNTIME FESTIVAL 2008 - DAY ONE - 3RD OF OCTOBER
is an up and coming postrock band out of the Leuven area.
They've been working hard the past two years, writing songs, releasing a very good demo cdr and playing shows whenever they can.
With their live set, they're pretty much sure to conquer your hearts!

Talkin' about postrock in Belgium without mentioning the Leuven based Zeal records could be considered a crime.
With bands like Toman on the roster and this fantastic Transit they've made some waves!
Transit delivered a fantastic new album this year and they can't wait to convince the funtime festival crowd.

Indierock darlings out of the Leuven/antwerpen area. With 'please accelerate' and 'under the wire' , they already have two diamonds on their release list and on funfest, they are ready to present the third album 'as of yet' , released at the end of october. It promises to be one fine set of classy indierock tunes!

One of the Belgian bands that has won hearts all over the last couple of years. Since the release of their highly appreciated 'mardi gras..', TSV has been playing almost every Belgian festival and the show at funfest will include a lot of new songs from their soon to be released new album! No need to say this is gonna be sublime!

Or THE Belgian sludge/postcore band. They have been playing all over Europe and besides some fine tours and well respected past releases and split releases, they're back in full effect with 'Mass IIII'. They've spend almost all summer on stage of festivals like Rock Herk, Pukkelpop and the likes and now they are ready to do it intimate on funfest 2008.
The Ra in full effect!!!

FUNTIME FESTIVAL 2008 - DAY TWO - 4TH OF OCTOBER
This talented band out of the Brussels-Vilvoorde area has been working hard to convince musiclovers with their technical and sometimes mathematical metalcore, spiced up with lots of melody. They're no less than the best wake up call you can get!

Young and promising Aarschot located band. Mixing up melodic punkrock, poppunk and emorock in the best possible way. Fans of catchy, singalong melodies, great vocals and tight riffs have already embraced this team of nice dudes. Now it's your turn!

With two albums on Genet records and a lot of shows under their belt, Rafflesia is ready to shake the funfest territory. Influenced by the likes of Heaven Shall Burn, old Caliban or Cataract, you know what to expect from this metalcore killermachine!

Back in the nineties, Sweden was known as Europe's capital of melodic punkrock. Bands like No Fun At All, Satanic Surfers, Millencolin, Adhesive, Randy and the likes conquered the old and new continent by storm. ALG is bound to get Sweden back on the melodic punkrock map.
Fast, great melodies and inspiring lyrics. Get ready for the pit!

Probably the Belgian band with the most shows in 2008 on their CV, Campus is more than ready to shake de Klinker. Sometimes epic, lots of passion and agression and atmospheric if needed. The perfect mix to rock, as heard on their fine debut full length album 'we are the silence'.

Aka Hollands hardest working and most touring punkrockband. Political, passionate and punkrock as fuck. Mix up Propagandhi, Hot Water Music and Strike Anywhere and there's a great chance your cocktail is named Antillectual. They will present their new album on Shield records with as much conviction as possible!

Together with Five Days Off, Second Base and Homer , Sixtoys is one of those bands that has been defending the Aarschot punkrock pride the last couple of years. Since their last abum 'forbidden war' , some of the Sixtoys members have been busy playing in other bands like Confuse the Cat, Radio Kungfu or EOTL, but recently they recorded their eagerly awaited third album at La chapelle in the Ardennes. The release is planned for the end of october and on funfest you'll get a preview of that new album, spiced up with Sixtoys classic, so you can all singalong:-)

One of Belgium's most interesting metalcore bands. And metalcore is way too limited to describe the bandsound of these youngsters. On their splendid new album 'light the torches' they succeed in blending that typical SOH sound with some more atmospheric elements and some brearthtaking riffs and solo's. Live always all over the place and ready to mosh it up in style!
You better be prepared!

One of Belgium's longest goin' melodic punkrockbands! They've toured all over the globe, released several full length albums and split cd's and played almost every possible club and festival in Belgium. But now they're takin' a very long break. Who knows what the future brings, but Five Days Off needs some time to focus on other stuff... this means you're not going to hear about them for a very long time... BUT... not without saying goodbye the way it is supposed to be. Five Days Off is playing their one and only show for this (and probably also the next couple of years) year and it's gonna be a goodbye show to remember!!!
