About Me
My name is Tom Patten. I teach english at Normal Community High School. I like cats. I have two and their names are Frisko and Bailey. Together they weigh more than me. But, then again, I DO run 26 miles a day, so I don't weigh too much. In fact, my colleague, Amy, weighs more than me, and she is extraordinarily thin (and attractive). She is just someone I work with. Seriously. Don't believe the rumors. Anyway, I coach Track and Cross Country. We're pretty good at what we do; everyone is usually extremely determined. My favorite things include: cats, cat food, cat hair, cat breath, cat-scratching posts, running, teaching, drawing cats, running, telling funny joke, puns, mad libs, running, cat toys, not showing my teeth, running, singing while running, limping, gray cats, bangs, plastic animals, frightening my students, telling stories about my cats, running, and Amy Scott.
