Rather than giving you a typical bio, we'll give you more of a background story. Sit back with a warm hot cocoa and enjoy. Marcos has been in the scene and Djing for well over 8 years. Him along with others like Matrix, Suae, Weaver & Fenix paved a future for hardcore, raves and other DJs within the scene. It was only by chance that Marcos and Ryan (Cram) met. Before one day venturing to a party Ryans lift had to stop at Marcos' place on the way, which just so happened to be the night of Marcos' 21st birthday as well. Marcos and Ryan had an istant connection with their passion for music and respect for DJs. What followed was months of both Marcos & Ryan being unemployed and spending everyday at Marcos' house, Marcos teaching Ryan everything he knew and even attepting to negoatiate a good deal on Ryan's first set of turntables, which failed, Johnny Onestop is a tough man. Through meeting Ryan Marcos was also introduced to his best friend Kristian (Lee) who had a bizaare talent of writing poems, mainly for girls he was courting. It wasnt long before Ryan swithced Kristians focus from wooing ladies to writing rhymes to mc to hardcore. So after talking about it, and playing sets seperately, we were given the oppotunity to play together as a group, we took that chance and saw it as the start of something new. Thus illFX was born in early 2003. Nothing compares to the buzz we get when performing together, imagine sharing you biggest passion in life with your best mates. As well as that, we are all from Wollongong and am proud to representing the Gong within the Sydney scene. Hoping to pave the way for other Wollongong DJs to make their mark in the Sydney scene. We have been lucky enough to perform at most large scale parties in Sydney i.e Utopia, Godspeed, Prophecy, Hard Wars, Helter Skelter, Hyperspeed, Fantasia etc etc.. Have also been interstate to play at parties in QLD, Mayhem. Every year we make a conscience effort to record and release a free promo CD that pushes the boundaries as far as promo CDs go. Every CD has recieved outstanding reviews not only from the punters but also from magazines like 3D World. You can check them out on our website for FREE download.
